"Each of us rules the world, although perhaps he does it badly: a stone on the road controls a wagon; a child, not yet able to speak, already controls his parents; a dog controls the owner, and a cat controls a dog. I control everyone. It's not a shame to control the world, it's a shame to do it badly. You can manage everything and everyone, in any situation and from anywhere — you just need to know how to do it." Vladimir Tarassov

"I wrote this short story as a birthday present for my wife Helle on November 27, 1971. Now, having brushed off the dust of time from it, and with the consent of its owner, I offer it to the reader, having changed the title and supplemented it with those details which had to be completed under the pressure of life experience, from which over the years I still have not managed to evade."Vladimir TarassovThe book reflects the author's socio-technological thinking in an artistic form. The narrative is conducted in a light fairy tale form from the third person.
